Protection of Resources
and Quality Control
International authorities (Codex Alimentarius) apply
very strict standards for water used for cooking and
drinking. Each country, however, adapts these
standards according to its own needs (in order to
make them suit its own standards and customer habits).
Quality inspections are made by the health
authorities of each country, taking into account the
international standards. Bottled drinking water
industry has its own standards, too.
Nestlé Waters, a world leader in the bottled water
production, has its own additional standards. Nestlé
Waters' hydrologic, physical, chemical and
bacteriologic control procedures contain more
sanctions than the criteria of international
standards.
Nestlé Water Institute, founded in 1995 in France,
is accepted as a point of reference throughout the
world. Nestlé Water Institute, which makes
researches on the effects of water on the human body
and adds new information to its data archive
everyday, maintains its leading role in the bottled
water researches.
The main laboratory of the Water Institute is also
the guarantee of the quality of Nestlé Waters. In
these laboratories, equipped with the best
technology in the world, quality controls of waters
produced in 32 different locations are made and the
quality of the packed water thatthe group
distributes is certified.
Nestlé Waters Institute, managed by world-famous
experts, creates new products, while developing more
productive and healthier methods for packing water.
The main laboratory, leader role of which in the
field of quality control is accepted throughout the
world, continues joint researches with expert
scientists in chemical, microbiologic and sensory
analyses.
